After 10 happy and fulfilling years, I recently relinquished my role as Music Director of Horncastle Choral Society - and I'm now looking for another choir south of the Lincoln area to conduct. If you need an MD, please get in touch via my contact page.

You could call me a music and words person. I spent 25 years in the professional theatre as an actress and singer - touring, West End, session singing and children's theatre. After this I became a journalist on national magazines before going freelance. Through it all, music has been the central thread of my life, as a choral Music Director.

After leaving the theatre, I worked firstly on the Rutland & Stamford Mercury newspaper, then as a Writer/Sub on Yours magazine, working my way up to Associate Editor and Head of Features there. After Yours, I became Editor of Best of British nostalgia magazine. 

​

Since then, as a freelance, I've been writing, book editing and proofreading. I've had one  book - For the Love of Classical Music - published, and this year I'm working on another. I  enjoy a mixed bag of editing, from nostalgia and travel to social history - when I'm not conducting a choir, that is!
