Hello, and thanks for looking in! I’ve been a journalist since 1996. Before this, I was a professional actress and singer which has made me a strong communicator – and I listen.

Working firstly on the Rutland & Stamford Mercury, I progressed to Writer/Sub on Yours magazine, working my way up to becoming the magazine's Associate Editor and Head of Features. After I left Yours, I became Editor of Best of British nostalgia magazine.

Since then, I've been a freelance, writing, book editing (fiction and non-fiction), and proofreading.

My first book, For the Love of Classical Music, was published in 2015.

This year I'm working on another book, and am researching other projects to do with music and nostalgia.

I'm also enjoying a mixed bag of editing – books, essays and copywriting – from gardening and travel, to social history.

PS I've recently added a Music For Hire page of music to buy or hire. Do take a look. And there's more about the music in my life if you click onto My Music.
